HP Lovecraft Thesis [08 Nov 2004|07:58pm]

timrousbeastie
Greetings-

My name is Heather. I'm a student at Brown University and I'm writing a thesis on HPL! My thesis primarily focuses on the relationship between H.P. Lovecraft and the Gothic community, but also includes the relationships between H.P. Lovecraft and non-Gothic fans, scholars and gamers. I ask you, darling people, to fill out my questionnaire! And also pass it along to anyone you know that has a particular affinity either for the Gothic lifestyle, or H.P. Lovecraft. Here is the link to my rudimentary site:

Pssst, hey boss. I might have found another player. Also just happens to be a fashion design student. Look for a LJ nick of drayce to show up sooner or later.

I know its a ways off yet, and everyone's got their heads down dealing with xmas... but I figure adding a potentially interested person or two even at this early date can't be a bad thing.

So here's the plan. Go here to get an idea of what I'm aiming for.

This (for now) is a one shot LARP. Spring 1917, New England. I'm encouraging people to dress period, though I acknowledge that time and fundage can make that a little difficult. My goal is no jeans/ t-shirts. We'll see if that's a realistic goal.

As far as the basic questions, I'm thinking of running it late spring, when the weather is a little better. Probably a weekend. One day, 4-6 hours. That's the plan anyhow. I'll be looking for investigators, NPC's, and so on.

I think that's all I have to say of value for now.
